Source : My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic
Characters : Luna and a bunch of fancharacters.
Backdrop : This was so horribly annoying to do, but the idea didn't get out of my head.
I'd be surprised if we ever saw Luna's guard again, let alone if we get an answer on why they're so different. My pet theory is that they're the nocturnal version of daytime pegasi, which led to thinking up dark earth ponies and unicorns as well. Most of these characters were made up as I went along; I ended up with a magic concept of why they've got physical differences greater than just cutie marks, explanation for why they're hardly heard of, names off course and other useless story stuff that I'll probably never use. Making it up though was more fun than working on the image.
